Located in Ayutthaya Province, Ayuttaya Golf Club is just 1.5 hours from Bangkok city centre. The locally designed and well-maintained course is relatively easy to play with generous fairways and large greens. Outside the playing area is short rough in which balls sit up nicely. The 13th hole is a long 495 yard par-4 and the most challenging on the course. Care should be taken to avoid the water hazard on the left side. The second shot is a long carry to a well-guarded green. The facilities and clubhouse are very good in comparison with other courses in the area. There is a sauna in both the men’s and ladies changing rooms, a facility usually only seen on higher priced golf courses in Thailand. The clubhouse restaurant is basic but serves up both Thai and international dishes. Overall, the Ayutthaya Golf Club is well-priced and in a convenient location for golfers coming from Bangkok. It is particularly recommended for high handicappers.
