Royal Gems is styled as an English parkland course, designed by Roger Baird in 1992. The course is well maintained with good fairways and pristine greens that were once the largest in Thailand, although recently they have been reduced in size. The rough is not too difficult, but the large number of trees often block your shot to the greens. The first rate facilities include a floodlit pitching and putting green, an Olympic size swimming pool and squash and badminton courts. A hotel and some condominiums are also attached to the course and the excellent restaurant serves reasonably priced dishes. Overall, one of the better courses in Bangkok.
