Designed by Artanan Yomchinda in 1994, Royal Ratchaburi is one of the most spectacular golf courses in Kanchanaburi. The front nine with wide and flat fairways lulls the golfer into a false sense of security, while the back nine has many demanding holes. Greens are well-kept, which is unusual for a course in such a remote setting. Royal Ratchaburi fairways follow the contours of the hills and play for the most part up and down. Conditions are generally good apart from some of the bunkers and some badly placed out of bounds. The clubhouse and facilities quite basic, but locals consider this a hidden gem of a course and one of the best in the River Kwai area.
