Blue Canyon Country Club, Canyon Course(site of Tiger Woods' 1998 Asian victory and host of 2007 Johnnie Walker) |
|
![]() |
The Canyon course is set on an old tin mine in a secluded valley, making great use of the natural elevations. The resulting undulating fast greens can be very difficult for the average golfer. The swirling winds make club selection difficult, and the strong Zosyia grass on the fairway restricts the rolling of the ball so it can play long at times and tougher than the par of 72. Red Mountain Golf Club(Phuket's most exciting course; dramatic scenery and great golf) |

Designer Jon Morrow has done a magnificent job transforming a tin mine in the centre of Phuket into an incredible golf course. Wonderfully manicured with many undulating fairways, the greens are normally fast and some of the best on the island. Tight fairways and well-placed bunkers rather than water are the main hazards. |
